Well being, Empowered relationships, Dignified living

“The usefulness of therapy lies in the relationship the counselor and client create together. It is there that the client is able to safely explore the challenges of life.”
- Sheila McCue, LCSW-R
My Approach
I approach my practice from a perspective rooted in Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Social Justice. With a 20 year background in community organizing, my philosophy is based in the core value of empowerment.
Who I See
I work with clients interested in developing a mindfulness practice. My clients have included individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, fear, confusion and, simply, curiosity. I counsel clients within a unique collaborative setting. I counsel couples working to keep a relationship strong and those in the midst of separation/divorce. I also see students struggling under the pressures of academia, and work with organizations.
Based in Ithaca, NY
Based in Ithaca, NY, I am able to work with all residents of New York state, meeting with clients both virtually and in person.
